Wood is the key ingredient for production of wooden windows and doors. Wood of pine, larch and oak has the best properties and is the most often used. Sawn timber is processed in the company by high precision equipment from Weinig, the leading manufacturer of wood processing technologies.

Wood has some unique intrinsic properties. Practically the most important are its colour, density and its resistance to humidity. Wood of different trees can be almost white, yellowish, red or even black.

Tangential sections of most timber sorts expose decorative and often highly prized patterns that are also called a texture. It shows up then wood fibers, rings and heart branches are cut longitudinally.

Each wood type has a specific smell. It comes from essential oils, resins and tanning substances. Smell of freshly cut wood is the strongest and gradually wears off as the wood dries out.
